*We would like to welcome to the world our new baby, Nathaniel Sidney Martin.*

This is what we shared with the world just after Nathaniel was born. A more recent picture should always be on the lower right of this page. More recent details about his life should be in his weblog (link to left).

Our new baby is finally here! After a sudden start on the way to Rosh Hashanah morning services and a long, hard labor ending in a C-section, our beautiful sweet baby boy was born at 5:28 PM on 9/17/2004.

This site will be updated whenever we can tear ourselves away from our new favorite little person (did I mention he was a beautiful sweet baby boy?). Don't worry, there will be lots of pictures!

Mom is recovering well. Baby is healthy and is a world champion eater, pee-er, and pooper. Dad doesn't feel that he has the right to complain but may in theory be very tired.

I can barely describe the sweet feeling that we get from holding him and kissing his little face. We just turn to jelly every time we look at him. He is not very fussy except when we forget to feed and change him for more than three hours. He sleeps a lot but is usually very alert and eyes-open right after being burped. He has the most wonderful baby-blue eyes, which will probably turn brown before we know it. He is simultaneously really big and really tiny. Oh, we're so happy.
